IT'S A FULL KIT...WE WEIGH IT ALL!

Our process includes not only weighing your vehicle, combination or trailer/boat/caravan, but we will actively check and advise on other compliance, safety and car/caravan checks.

If what you are towing is not level, either “nose down” or “nose up”, this can often materially impact the towball download as well as axle weights and balance (front to rear axle weight split on a dual axle). 

WE UNPACK AND REPACK AND GET YOU BACK ON THE ROAD SAFELY!

We won’t AND don’t just say to you “you need to remove 100kgs of gear” or “you need to move 100kg’s of gear from one side of your van to the other”.  We DO IT with you while you are on the scales, as more often than not, these alterations are not that straight forward, as there are often many factors at play here such as towball download effect, suspension effect and infrastructure weight and layout of a caravan.

IT'S NOT JUST YOUR set up.. BUT YOUR WATER TOO!

With EVERY caravan weigh that we undertake, we also re-weigh the caravan with it’s water tanks empty.  Water is THE single biggest weight in any caravan and in turn, the impact that water has on the towball download and axle weights is often significant.  We will also provide advice as to which water tanks are to be used first as often clients ask us how they should travel with respect to water in their vans.

we are a family run business

Meet Shane, Sharon, Cam & Ang!

The TTW story began in April 2021 when Shane & Sharon travelled from Darwin to holiday with Cam & Ang in the beautiful Carnarvon Gorge region of Queensland.  Before setting off on this trip, Cam & Ang arranged for Dave Lewis from Weightcheck in Queensland, Australia’s most experienced and first dedicated mobile weighbridge operator, to weigh their combination to ensure everything was compliant and well balanced.

At the time, there were only a handful of mobile weighing companies established in Australia (none in the Northern Territory) and after seeing the process first hand, we saw an opportunity to establish a business offering boutique, customised and personal weighing services to Territorians.

As part of every weighing appointment, we take the time to go through with our clients what the terms and acronyms pertaining to weighing mean in plain English.  We also provide a copy of our acronyms summary which includes diagrams to help you better understand these terms.

Our headquarters is on a fully fenced acreage property where you can enable your children and or pets to relax during the weighing process in a safe and comfortable environment.

We also offer free to all clients, the ability to re-fill your water tanks after our weighing appointments as you leave, should you need water before moving on to your next destination.

We offer our clients a unique service in that we are fully mobile and can come to you anywhere in the greater Darwin region or we also offer weighs at our headquarters at Howard Springs where we have a custom made dedicated weighing pad.
